Across Chrome and Firefox, running mitigations=off shows a measurable improvement in performance for the Core i9 10900K processor. Web browsing is one of the real-world areas still seeing a measurable hit to the performance from the mitigations even with this latest-generation Intel Comet Lake desktop processor.

Of all the tests carried out for this article, booting the Core i9 10900K with "mitigations=off" boosted the performance for these test cases by about 6%.
