GNU Octave, an open-source alternative to MATLAB, has also been slower on Linux 5.2 and newer.

The ctx_clock micro-benchmark shows the impact of context switching performance and the large slowdown since Linux 5.2 with MDS.

The Apache Cassandra performance has been slower on recent releases but overall is only a bit slower than on Linux 4.16.

The RocksDB performance hasn't changed too much.

Memcached performance has seen better days.
