Counter-Strike: GO is hardly demanding on these mid-range graphics cards with 1080p which is the focus of today's tests, but for those curious the RadeonSI performance of the RX 570 and above put it right in line with the GTX 1060. It looks like there's still room to squeeze a bit more driver/software-level optimizations out of RadeonSI.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, of course, is a very different story with this being one of the most demanding Linux-native OpenGL game ports. And in fact will likely remain one of the best stressors for the OpenGL Linux drivers considering nearly all newer game ports and emulation layers are focused on using Vulkan. With Deus Ex, the RX 580 was neck-and-neck with the GTX 1060 while the RX 590 was in-line with the GTX 1660.

On a performance-per-Watt basis, however, is where NVIDIA is the hands down winner. None of the tested Polaris cards could reach the power efficiency of the tested Pascal and Turing parts. It will certainly be interesting though to see where Navi fits into the performance-per-Watt line-up next month.

DiRT Rally 2.0 runs on Linux via Steam Play with DXVK for running this Windows game. The RADV Radeon performance here is quite splendid with the RX 570 matching the GTX 1060 while the RX 580 coming close to the GTX 1660 and the RX 590 surpassing the GTX 1660 Ti.

While the performance-per-Watt, of course, is a different story.
