In the end when looking at the test results for 67 different benchmarks run on the four processors, the Ryzen 5 3600X came out to being 2.9x the speed of Intel's former $999 USD Core i7 3960X Sandy Bridge Extreme Edition processor.

For those wondering about the Core i7 8700K vs. Ryzen 5 3600X race, the 3600X did have just a 2% advantage over the 8700K in the geometric mean. If counting the raw number of first place finishes, the Ryzen 5 3600X won 35 benchmarks to the 8700K at 32.
