Aside from the DiRT Rally 2.0 exception where it had issues with Radeon graphics under Wayland as seen before as well, in all of the other titles tested the (X)Wayland vs. X.Org GNOME session comparison on Ubuntu 23.04 is in very good shape. It will perhaps be more interesting once the Wine Wayland driver lands or otherwise gets picked up by Steam Play (Proton) and any other compositor optimizations take place. In any event, using the GNOME Wayland session on Ubuntu 23.04 continues working out very well in my continued testing.
