More Benchmarks Showing How Gallium3D With RX Vega Smacks AMDGPU-PRO's OpenGL Proprietary Driver

Unigine Superposition, the company's newest benchmark, is faster with RX Vega 56/64 on RadeonSI over AMDGPU-PRO.

But with Unigine Valley the results are about the same to slightly favoring AMDGPU-PRO.

Overall I remain very stunned at these Radeon RX Vega results with even a year or two ago never believing it would be realistic to see better -- or even the same -- performance out of the open-source driver stack over a well-tuned proprietary driver on the same hardware. It's a remarkable feat and will be interesting to see how much better the performance under Linux gets once Vega 10 has really been tuned. Now it would just be great to see AMD stick to their word on open-sourcing their Vulkan driver (or committing efforts to RADV), so we can see as competitive of an open-source Vulkan driver stack.
