Void Linux, Solus, Manjaro, Antergos, Sabayon & Clear Linux Put To A Performance Battle
Clear Linux went on to outperforming Void Linux and others in many of the benchmarks.
One of the interesting takeaways from this comparison that started out with wanting to take a fresh look at Void Linux wasn't about Void itself but being surprised by the number of Debian Testing wins ahead of the Debian 10 "Buster" release next year. Debian Testing tends to be nice and bleeding-edge but keep in mind once hitting the stable series is when its performance benefits will fade with time. Clear Linux still won most often 37% of the time, but Debian Testing came in with wins 20% of the time followed by Solus with wins 14% of the time and then Antergos 12% of the time. The Linux distribution coming in last most often was Gentoo-based Sabayon with being in last place 43% of the time followed by Manjaro and Antergos each coming in last 10% of the time.
