FreeBSD 11.1 was the slowest at running the C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer but by the time of hitting 20 threads was close to the performance offered by the Linux distributions.

Clear Linux was much faster than Fedora and Ubuntu with the Smallpt path tracer. Hyper Threading here hurt the performance on Fedora and Ubuntu.

Ubuntu and Clear Linux were offering leading OpenSSL performance while Fedora dropped behind at the higher thread counts. TrueOS stable didn't see any benefit with Hyper Threading enabled, unlike the Linux results.
