Interestingly when it came to the graphics performance with the integrated Iris Xe Graphics, Windows 11 was performing much better than Linux -- both Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and the rolling-release Clear Linux. Intel's Clear Linux though did tend to deliver better performance than Ubuntu 22.04, likely due to it using Mesa 22.1 over Mesa 22.0. While Clear Linux does normally default to P-State's "performance" governor, it's worth mentioning on laptops now Clear Linux defaults to using the "powersave" governor like Ubuntu.

The Java 2D OpenGL pipeline performance was at least better on Linux than Windows.

But overall it looks like Intel's Mesa driver support for ADL-P Gen12 graphics still has room for improvement compared to the latest Windows 11 graphics driver from Intel.
