Moving to more CPU/system-focused workloads, interestingly Windows 11 was faster than Ubuntu 22.04 LTS for running the demanding NAMD molecular dynamics package but Intel's Clear Linux in turn outperformed those two. Even with being on P-State powersave for this Evo laptop, Clear Linux on this i7-1280P laptop delivered better results.

While Windows 11 had the advantage when it came to the Iris Xe Graphics performance, when dealing with the overall CPU/system performance, Linux was much more competitive and generally leading over Windows -- especially when it comes to Intel's performance-optimized Clear Linux delivering substantive gains over Ubuntu 22.04 LTS on this latest-generation laptop.
