For kicking things off first are some Linux gaming benchmarks with the processors under test.

In the Linux gaming benchmarks the Core i5 13600K was delivering healthy uplift over the Core i5 12600K though not as significant as many of the CPU/system benchmarks able to leverage the extra cores/threads of the i5-13600K.

Like with the Core i9 13900K and shown in that review, the Intel hybrid processors were struggling in a few select games like with Feral Interactive's port of Total War: Three Kingdoms. Most of Intel's hybrid issues on Linux have since been resolved but occasionally like in this game it seems odd P vs. E core selection happens.

Overall there is very healthy competition between the AMD Zen 4 and Intel Raptor Lake processors under a variety of different Linux gaming workloads. But with most of our readers using Linux for more serious tasks, let's look at the Core i5 13600K performance elsewhere.
