Clear Linux and macOS were tied for first with the AOBench renderer benchmark while Windows 10 Pro was the slowest.

Gzip compression is much faster out-of-the-box on Clear Linux due to it exploiting multi-threading capabilities compared to the other operating systems Gzip support. The macOS performance was in line with the other Linux distributions while Windows was the slowest.

FLAC audio encoding also was the fastest on Clear Linux while the macOS and Windows 10 performance was in line with the other Linux distributions and Ubuntu 18.04 again being the slowest on this late-2016 MBP.

In a quick FFmpeg video encode benchmark, macOS 10.13.4 managed to secure another rare win.
