Everything You Need To Know About The NVIDIA Jetson TX1 Performance

Now we know how the Jetson TX1 does with graphics: it's a huge upgrade over the JTX1 with GM20A Kepler! Now here are some pure CPU tests between NVIDIA's two development boards. For kicks, I also tossed in the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B with some CPU benchmarks.

The Raspberry Pi does surprisingly well in the John The Ripper's MD5 test compared to the 32-bit Cortex-A15 with the Jetson TK1, but the Jetson TX1 meanwhile is many times faster.

The Jetson TX1 was nearly twice as fast as the TK1 when it comes to VP8 video encoding.

The Jetson TK1 was acting rather odd in some of these tests with the RPi2 beating it out for the smallpt simple path tracer. However, as you can see from the results, the Jetson TX1 clearly shines.
