Prior to commissioning this drive in a new test farm system, I compared its performance to several other SATA3 SSDs lying around the office. The tested drives included the 128GB Crucial CT128MX1, 120GB Samsung SSD 840, 120GB Intel SSDSC2BW12, 256GB Corsair Force LX, and 240GB OCZ Vertex 3.

All of these SSDs were freshly formatted to using an EXT4 file-system and were tested from an Ubuntu 14.10 x86_64 host with the Linux 3.18 Git kernel. All benchmarks were run via the open-source Phoronix Test Suite benchmarking software.
