Across all of the benchmarks conducted, the Radeon RX 7600 XT had an average power draw of 121 Watts and a peak of 165 Watts for this XFX Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB model tested. The Radeon RX 7600 meanwhile had an average power draw reported under Linux of 112 Watts and a peak of 131 Watts based on the exposed AMDGPU metrics.

Across all of the testing the XFX Radeon RX 7600 XT had an average GPU core temperature of 54 degrees and a peak of just 63 degrees. The XFX Radeon RX 7600 XT was running even cooler than the RX 7600 reference model and others.

It depends upon the particular game or graphics benchmark but from this initial launch-day testing I am seeing the Radeon RX 7600 XT running around 8% faster than the RX 7600. The Radeon RX 7600 XT was also typically delivering slightly better performance than the similarly priced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card.

Hopefully today's metrics were of use if evaluating a new graphics card purchase. As mentioned in the coming days will be a much larger comparison on Phoronix now that I've received the rest of the remaining GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards for Linux testing.

If you are looking at purchasing the Radeon RX 7600 XT and using it under Linux, you should find a pleasant out-of-the-box experience on the likes of Fedora 39 and Ubuntu 23.10 or others relying on recent Linux kernel and Mesa releases (and linux-firmware). Otherwise the Radeon Software for Linux 23.40 driver should be released today in providing RX 7600 XT support for the enterprise Linux distributions.

Thanks to AMD and XFX for providing the QICK 309 Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB graphics card for launch-day Linux testing on Phoronix.
