Over the years we have looked at many ASUS products primarily with when it comes to graphics cards and motherboards, but never had we got our hands on an ASUS LCD monitor. However, that changed earlier this month when receiving the ASUS VH236 LCD monitor. This ASUS display may not be as nice as the Samsung SyncMaster 305T but it does offer more features than some of the other monitors in its class like the Dell S2409W. Continue on as we test out the ASUS VH236 LCD monitor.

The ASUS LCD monitor arrived in a cardboard package similar to most other displays. The monitor itself was separated from the base and the monitor was resting in between two large Styrofoam molds within this slim cardboard box with plastic carrying handle. On the opposite side of the top Styrofoam mold were the other contents for this 23-inch 1080p monitor. The other items included with this ASUS product was an ASUS VIP Member Notice, VH236 user's manual, VH236 driver CD, one VGA cable, one DVI cable, one US power cable, and the monitor's base. In the ASUS VH236 series is the VH236H, VH236HL-P, and VH236H-P. Our review sample was the VH236H model, but the VH236HL-P model is quite similar but with a base that provides tilt, height adjustment, and swivel support.
