Intel Core i5 11600K + Core i9 11900K Linux Performance Across ~400 Benchmarks

In newer native Linux games like Feral Interactive's port of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the Ryzen 5000 series processors were delivering better performance regardless of modern resoutions or settings with the exception of 1440p with the highest quality settings where it delivered some minor advantages.

Tesseract meanwhile was another open-source game where the Core i9 11900K could outperform the Ryzen 9 5900 series albeit was a race at over 800 FPS for all of the modern CPUs while at 1080p.

Xonotic was leading with the Ryzen 5000 series processors.

When taking the geometric mean of all the Linux gaming benchmarks carried out on these processors, the Core i9 11900K came out 7% faster than the Core i9 10900K. However, that 7% boost was only enough to put the Core i9 11900K inline with the Ryzen 7 5800X under Linux. The Core i5 11600K meanwhile was 8% faster than the i5-10600K but was even short of the Ryzen 5 5600X.

While coming out ~8% faster for the Linux gaming performance, the Rocket Lake CPUs during the gaming tests were consuming much more power than Comet Lake. Unfortunately no Ryzen 5000 series CPU power consumption reference points here since AMD doesn't expose that under Linux with their AMD_Energy mainline driver but only for EPYC processors.
